When the world of business is defined by uncertainty what’s the best strategic move and where are the opportunities? How can we position ourselves to make the most of change and challenge?
An Executive MBA gives you the tools to respond to these key questions.
Our two-year programme is tailored to the demands of working professionals, focusing on capability, capacity and knowledge for career progression. Online learning using your workplace as the context is blended with face to face workshops, which take place in convenient three-day blocks typically on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
You will be taught by specialists from our world-class faculty and you’ll benefit from Lancaster University Management School’s recognised strengths in strategy, corporate social responsibility and international business.
We use theories as a framework for discussion and collaborative learning is crucial to what we do. Students from diverse backgrounds, roles and sectors share their unique experiences and perspectives as we work in partnership to explore and resolve complex management and business issues.
You will also have the chance to hear from guest speakers and to make company visits. An optional elective module in International Business is taught in Athens and includes interactions with the central bank of Greece, charities, government members and businesses.
The programme runs in Lancaster and Ghana and connects you to a valuable global network of past MBA students and wider LUMS alumni. This gives you unlimited access to other minds, perspectives and professional expertise to continue your learning and development into the future.
You will study a range of modules as part of your course, some examples of which are listed below.
There may be extra costs related to your course for items such as books, stationery, printing, photocopying, binding and general subsistence on trips and visits. Following your studies, you may need to pay a subscription to a professional body for some chosen careers.
To support your studies, you will also require access to a computer, along with reliable internet access. You will be able to access a range of software and services from a Windows, Mac, Chromebook or Linux device. For certain degree programmes, you may need a specific device, or we may provide you with a laptop and appropriate software - details of which will be available on relevant programme pages. A dedicated IT support helpdesk is available in the event of any problems.
The University provides limited financial support to assist students who do not have the required IT equipment or Broadband support in place.
