This flexible and innovative course is designed for a wide variety of business practitioners. You may already be in a senior leadership position, or have ambitions to start your own business. You may want to bring fresh thinking to a current role, or move your career in a different direction. Our focus is on accelerating your leadership thinking and behaviours, so you can very quickly take ideas and innovation back to your workplace. You will be exposed to a broad spectrum of businesses, industries and leadership styles to give you a range of different perspectives.
The course has been designed with a wide range of modules to encourage students to look at their role from new angles. Throughout the course, you’ll enjoy a healthy blend of academic and vocational perspectives, and our practitioner-focused teaching staff will guide you in the latest thinking and developments in business management.
Inspirational lectures, energetic seminars and focused study groups are all integral to this enriching business management course. You’ll look at a broad range of topics including marketing, finance, enterprise and research methods, plus you’ll have the chance to select a relevant independent study towards the end of your course. This full-time programme is designed to develop senior management and leadership skills and competences in individuals, in order for them to be effective in their respective organisational roles. This programme is therefore suitable for those who wish to pursue a career in a business management related field, or for those who wish to start their own business.
Applicants must have: A second class honours degree in any subject, or students holding a qualification recognised as graduate equivalent by the University. Candidates without a first degree can be admitted to the programme provided they have at least two years managerial experience, at an appropriate level. This will also be subject to interview with the Programme Leader. The part-time MBA will be delivered on two consecutive days per month.
