    Course Description

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is the most coveted and internationally recognised postgraduate management degree in the world, and there's a good reason why. It is widely recognised as a passport to a successful management career, enabling managers with a functionalist role to take on a more senior, strategic position, and empowering senior managers to gain the in-depth, strategic knowledge they need to climb even higher.

Our outstanding MBA Global Supply Chain Management course offers you a life-changing opportunity to realise your full potential and specialise at an advanced level. This degree will develop your knowledge of the principles and concepts underlying the strategic and operational performance of organisations in relation to one another within the international supply chain. You will also demonstrate an understanding of the role of operations theory in evaluating the strategic implications of variation and uncertainty on supply chain performance.

Delivered in a world-class learning environment, by internationally acclaimed academics and business leaders, the course integrates theory and practice to bring you  hands-on experience, inspiring teaching and a clear international perspective. Here at Nottingham Business School, we are proud to have developed an innovative and rigorous MBA with opportunities to personalise your learning around your ambitions. This significantly strengthens your management knowledge, leadership capabilities and understanding of global business.

What will you gain from this degree?

    • You will complete two hands-on experience projects; one within the UK and the other one internationally.
    • We’ll help you to develop the insights, capabilities and skills to create and maintain responsible, efficient business practices, as well as to develop sustainable mind-sets, promoting responsible leadership and influence organisational culture.
    • We offer a personalised pathway, with the freedom to specialise in the areas that interest you most, to shape your skills and experiences around the career you want.
    • Develop global management skills and immerse yourself within a multicultural atmosphere, with a dynamic community of staff and students from around the world.
    • The MBA is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 7 qualification in Management and Leadership. Our partnership with the CMI means that you'll enjoy complimentary student membership for the duration of your course, and for the first year after graduation.

    Placement Opportunities

You can choose to add a year's work placement, making your MBA a two-year course. It's a great way to put your learning into practice and gain career-enhancing real-world experience. At every stage, our MBA is informed by the needs of the global business community, thanks to 600+ connections with progressive, proactive organisations worldwide. The insights, expertise and placement opportunities they provide all help to make sure our graduates forge exceptional careers all over the world.

Your placement year will last up to 48 weeks (minimum 36 weeks). If you are unable to take a full year's placement, but have completed the minimum 36 weeks you can qualify for a Placement Diploma in Industrial Experience. If you undertake a placement, you must take up the Business Research Project in Semester Three

Please note that placements are not guaranteed and you will need to work hard in securing one during your first semester. We have a dedicated employability team who are here to help and support you during the placement process with CV writing, creating a LinkedIn page, interview tips, where to search for a placement etc. You can visit the Employability Team’s pages for further information.
